Public Information Concerning

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended

 

Hill Country Transit District (HCTD) is the recipient of Federal funding to provide public transportation.  HCTD operates programs subject to the nondiscrimination requirements under Title VI.

 

The following examples, without being exhaustive, illustrate the application of the nondiscrimination provisions of this part to projects receiving Federal financial assistance under the programs of certain Department of Transportation operating administrations.

Individuals or organizations who believe they have been denied the benefits of, excluded from participation in, or subject to discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin by Hill Country Transit District (HCTD) can file an administrative complaint with Hill Country Transit District and/or the Federal Transit Administration's Office of Civil Rights under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  Individuals and organizations may file a complaint by completing the Title VI complaint form.
